Breath-Hold Workshop

Whether you're into freediving or spearfishing, this workshop will take your breath-hold skills and your safety to the next level.
What You’ll Learn
Over two fun, focused sessions, you’ll unlock the techniques used by experienced freedivers:
- Master your breathing and breath-up routines
- Improve equalisation and relaxation
- Build confidence through dry and in-water breath-hold training
- Learn rescue skills and safe diving practices
The Workshop
Night 1 – Classroom (6–9pm at Dive HQ)
We’ll cover freediving fundamentals — breathing, equalisation, safety, and gear.
You’ll also complete dry breath-hold drills and take home exercises to keep improving.
Night 2 – Pool (6:30–9:30pm at Te Ngāengae Pool, Lower Hutt)
Put it all into practice: static and dynamic apnea, duck diving, buoyancy checks, and rescue techniques.
