PADI Rescue Diver Course

Be prepared for a diver emergency!
The Rescue Diver Course is a fun & challenging course we recommend to all divers. By becoming aware of the potential causes of accidents you are more likely to avoid getting into trouble. In the unlikely event of yourself, your buddy or a fellow diver getting into trouble you will have the knowledge & skills to assist safely & effectively to perform a rescue.

Knowledge Development
After completing your online rescue diver theory we will work to prepare an Emergency Action Plan for a local dive site and learn how to set up the Oxygen system.

Training Exercises
After reviewing your own self rescue skills we will learn how to help our buddy. There is no right way to 'rescue' someone so we will cover a variety of techniques and you can choose which ones work best for you in any given situation.

Rescue Scenarios
Designed to challenge divers and present realistic situations that may be encountered at local dive sites. It gives you the opportunity to experience a variety of environmental conditions and logistical challenges.

Our Course Structures:

  • Standard Course $500 
    • Theory is covered by online materials
    • 2 pool evenings 6:15 – 9:30pm (Monday & Wednesday)
    • 1 day (Saturday or Sunday) 9 – 4pm

  • 3 Day Course $600
    • Theory is covered by online materials
    • 3 sea days 9-4pm each day

  • Private Course - Can be scheduled as required to meet your needs

  • Rescue Plus - Add the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider and Emergence First Responder Courses to your Rescue Diver Course & save 15% - only $850

  • Gear Hire - $100 for the course duration

Course Start Dates

Cancellations & Refunds
Paying your deposit infers that you have read and accepted these policies

Any cancellations made more than 14 days before the course will be entitled to a full refund minus the cost of materials already used. There is no refund for cancellations within 7 days of the course.

You may reschedule your course within 7 days but your new booking will be subject to availability and an $100 rebooking fee. Fees will also be incurred if you switch between courses unless by prior arrangement.
