Breath Hold Training
If you are keen to improve your freediving or be more successful while spearfishing then this is the course for you.
Our Course:
Night 1:
This classroom session consists of a presentation on all things freediving, including equalisation methods, safety principles, identifying problems, and an orientation on freediving specific gear.
We then move onto completing dry breath-hold work. We practice a proper breath-up as well as dynamic breath holds while dry. You will receive some additional drills to use at home in order to continue to practice. This session runs from 6pm until 9pm.
Night 2:
During this pool session we will put what was learnt in the classroom into practice. We will continue to work on breathing up both during static apnea and then moving into dynamic apnea as well as duck diving. We will also discuss the importance of using the correct amount of weight and complete a buoyancy check. Finally, we will practice an in-water rescue. We run our pool sessions at Te Ngaengae Pool in Lower Hutt from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Private Sessions - Can be scheduled as required to meet your needs.
